Job summary

Mayfield Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Full Time Floor Technician to maintain a clean, sanitary environment for residents, families, visitors and staff. You will perform all floor and carpet care programs using established policies, procedures and tested cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities include housekeeping duties, trash removal, and weekend availability as needed. Prior experience with stripping and waxing hard surfaces and carpet extraction is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read warning labels on hazardous chemical containers and MSDS sheets.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
• Experience stripping and waxing of hard surfaces.
• Experience cleaning and extracting carpeted areas.
• Basic computer skills.

Job description

Mayfield Heights is seeking to hire a Full Time Floor Technician.

Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for the residents, families, visitors and staff of Mayfield by performing all tasks using established policies and procedures and the effective use of tested cleaning chemicals and equipment. Perform all phases of floor and carpet care programs. Complete misc. housekeeping duties as needed and trash removal.

Must be available to work weekends as needed.

EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to read warning labels on hazardous chemical containers and MSDS sheets.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
• Must have previous experience stripping and waxing of hard surfaces.
• Must have previous experience in cleaning and extracting of carpeted areas.
• Basic computer skills.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Must be able to lift and carry a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to push equipment on wheels weighing a maximum of 250 lbs.
• Good communications skills.
• Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work as a team or alone.
• Must be able to interface with people of all levels in a positive and professional manner.
