Job summary

Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge is looking for a Floor Technician to be an essential part of the Environmental Services team, ensuring clean and sanitary conditions for residents and associates.

The role involves operating various cleaning equipment, performing major floor care, and assisting in training new staff. Candidates must be available for day shift work, including weekends. Benefits include Paid Time Off, medical and dental coverage, and a 401k plan with company match.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment including polishers and floor buffers.
• Completely strip and re-coat all floor areas when necessary.
• Assist in training new staff as assigned.
• Responsible for all facility special event set-ups.
• Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services.

Skills

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Job description

As an essential part of the Environmental Services team, the Floor Technician will perform major floor care, project work, provides clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly and satisfying surroundings for the residents, guests and associates. The floor technician promotes sanitary conditions which prevent the spread of infection and odors. These functions are performed in designated areas following established schedules, procedures and protocols set forth by WCBR management.

This is a day shift position with a schedule of 7:30am to 4:00pm. Rotating weekends will be required.
