Job summary

Marathon Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Floor Technician to maintain cleanliness and safety across the facility. The role involves operating floor care equipment and ensuring floors are spotless.

You will work Monday through Friday, with shifts from 7:00 am–3:30 pm or 8:00 am–4:30 pm, at a pay rate of $12.50 per hour. Primarily on-site in Columbia, SC, with benefits including health and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Dependable and detail-oriented candidate.
• Experience with floor care equipment is aplus.
• Familiar with OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate floor care equipment such as auto-scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, and vacuums.
• Perform routine sweeping, mopping, waxing, and polishing of hard-surface floors.
• Shampoo, extract, and spot-clean carpets as needed.
• Maintain and clean floor equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals according to company and OSHA standards.
• Inspect assigned areas for cleanliness and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet cleaning schedules.
