ChestertownNursingandRehab in Chestertown, MD is seeking a reliable FloorTech/Porter to keep floors and common areas clean, safe and welcoming for residents, visitors and staff.

You will strip, wax, buff, sweep, mop and help with general porter duties while following infection control guidelines. This is a full-time role with benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in floor care, environmental services, or custodial work preferred.
• Experience operating floor machines (buffers, burnishers, autoscrubbers, etc.) is a plus.
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to lift and move equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean, strip, wax, buff, and polish floors throughout the facility.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain carpets and hard-surface flooring.
• Respond promptly to spills and other safety hazards to help prevent accidents.
• Maintain entrances, hallways, common areas, and other public spaces.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for floor care and facility needs.
• Assist with general porter duties, including trash removal and maintaining exterior grounds as assigned.
• Follow all infection control procedures and safety guidelines.
• Work as part of a supportive team to maintain a clean and safe environment.
