Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean, strip, wax, buff, and polish floors throughout the facility.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain carpets and hard surface flooring.
• Respond promptly to spills and other safety hazards.
• Maintain entrances, hallways, common areas, and other public spaces.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for floor care.
• Assist with general porter duties, including trash removal and exterior grounds.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety guidelines.
• Work as part of a supportive team to maintain a clean and safe environment.

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Floor Tech / Porter to join our team. In this important role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff by keeping floors and common areas in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, strip, wax, buff, and polish floors throughout the facility
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain carpets and hard surface flooring
• Respond promptly to spills and other safety hazards to help prevent accidents
• Maintain entrances, hallways, common areas, and other public spaces
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for floor care and facility needs
• Assist with general porter duties, including trash removal and maintaining the exterior grounds as assigned
• Follow all infection control procedures and safety guidelines
• Work as part of a supportive team to maintain a clean and safe environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in floor care, environmental services, or custodial work is preferred
• Experience operating floor machines (buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, etc.) is a plus
• Must be dependable, detail oriented, and able to lift and move equipment as needed
