Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Floor Technician in Carrollton, TX to perform floor care tasks including waxing, stripping, buffing, and general environmental services. The role requires adherence to safety rules, teamwork, and professional communication with staff and customers.

Qualifications

• Education and/ or Experience: No education requirement 6 mo-1 year experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver's license; Safety/task training certification; Forklift certification may be required.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Read and interpret instructions; Strong verbal and written communication; Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment; Knowledge of upkeep and care of cleaning equipment; Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe use.

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures; Stop at risk behaviors in others and self.
• Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments.
• Perform repetitive tasks; Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules; Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortages such as custodial, recycle, or maintenance; Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment; Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of floors: tile, carpet, and brick flooring; Use appropriate chemicals and supplies.

Job Overview

The Floor Technician will be responsible for safely performing assigned floor care functions based on standards and procedures, performs environmental services as needed, and performs floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties according to regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment that is required for assigned tasks
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
