Kids for the Future is seeking a Floor Technician Supervisor to oversee floor care operations, supervise technicians, and ensure high-quality results across the facility. You will train staff, enforce safety standards, and manage cleaning projects with attention to detail.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience, knowledge of floor finishing, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum one year of floor care experience.
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of floor technicians and assigned staff.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Train employees on floor care procedures, equipment operation, safety practices, and company policies.
  • Perform floor maintenance duties including stripping, waxing, sealing, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, and polishing hard surface floors.
  • Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as auto scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, extractors, and wet vacuums.
  • Perform carpet care services including extraction, spot cleaning, shampooing, and stain removal.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facility floors and identify areas requiring maintenance or restoration.
  • Maintain inventory of floor care chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and handling of chemicals and cleaning products.
  • Monitor staff productivity and provide coaching and corrective action as needed.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and maintenance issues to management.
  • Assist with scheduling and assignment of floor care projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
  • Respond to special floor care requests and emergency cleaning situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Floor Technician Supervisor is responsible for supervising floor care operations while performing specialized floor maintenance services throughout the assigned facility. This position oversees floor technicians and custodial staff, ensures work is completed according to company standards, provides training and guidance, and performs advanced floor care procedures including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, and carpet care. The ideal candidate is an experienced floor care professional with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Valid authorization to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to push and pull heavy floor care equipment.
  • Ability to work around cleaning chemicals and floor finishing products.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and special projects when required.
Additional Requirements
  • Must successfully pass a strong criminal background check.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Reliable transportation preferred.
