Job summary

Turfway Park Racing & Gaming in Florence, KY is seeking a Floor Tech / Special Projects to maintain clean, safe facilities and support special project cleaning needs. The role requires operating floor care equipment and following safety guidelines. You will join a team supporting both public areas and event spaces.

Qualified candidates have a GED/HS diploma and must obtain a Kentucky Racing license. The job entails lifting up to 50 pounds and regular physical activity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, buff, vacuum, dust and wax floors.
• Operate cleaning equipment including extractors, auto scrubbers, buffers and overhead lifts.
• Ensure safe and proper use of all equipment and chemicals.
• Clean and sanitize chairs, hand rails, doors, tables and games.
• Collect and remove trash; notify management of repairs or deep cleaning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, buff, vacuum, dust and wax floors
• Able to operate all types of cleaning equipments including riding equipments such as extractors, auto scrubbers, buffers and overhead lifts
• Be familiar with and ensure safe and proper use of all equipment and chemicals.
• Operates electric-powered equipment designed to perform certain duties.
• Cleans and sanitizes chairs, hand rails, doors, tables and games throughout the facility.
• Collects and removes trash throughout interior and exterior public and non-public areas.
• Notifies management concerning need for repairs or deep cleaning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• GED or High School diploma or up to 1 month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Able to obtain Kentucky Racing license.
