• Assist with housekeeping duties as needed.

This position is responsible for ensuring all flooring surfaces are properly cleaned, buffed, stripped, waxed, and maintained to create a safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate floor care equipment including buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, and vacuumsStrip, wax, buff, and polish floors according to facility schedulesClean and maintain tile, vinyl, carpet, and other flooring surfacesPerform routine floor maintenance in resident rooms, hallways, dining rooms, and common areasIdentify and report flooring hazards, maintenance concerns, and safety issuesFollow all infection control, safety, and chemical handling proceduresMaintain floor care equipment in proper working conditionAssist with housekeeping duties as neededEnsure floors remain clean, dry, and free of hazardsMaintain supply inventories and notify supervisors when reordering is neededFollow all facility policies and procedures regarding environmental services and resident safetyQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious floor care or housekeeping experience preferredExperience operating floor machines, buffers, and burnishers preferredAbility to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and efficientlyExcellent attendance and reliabilityPhysical RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reachingAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 50 poundsAbility to operate floor care equipment for extended periodsAbility to work in a fast-paced healthcare environmentWhat Makes You a Great FitStrong work ethic and positive attitudePride in maintaining a clean and polished environmentDependable and self-motivatedTeam-oriented with excellent time management skillsCommitment to resident safety and comfortWe are an equal opportunity employer.
