Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Floor Tech to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas and to provide some work direction to custodial staff at Sewickley Township, PA. Responsibilities include performing janitorial duties, operating cleaning equipment, managing supplies, reporting hazards, and assisting the Custodial Supervisor with scheduling and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of related experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification; may require valid driver’s license; forklift certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties as assigned.
• Follow the daily schedule and maintain areas in good condition.
• Provide direction and assistance to custodians per Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist scheduling and training of staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Track inventory, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Schedule cleanup and repairs and monitor area upkeep.
• Monitor supply inventory and assist in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Conduct quality, service, and safety inspections.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Report personnel and customer issues to supervisor.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and supplies by staff.
• Identify at-risk behaviors and report for corrective action.
• Suggest improvements for areas needing attention.

Job Overview

The Custodial Lead will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned and provides some work direction to custodial staff.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule

• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor

• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed

• Operate motorized cleaning equipment

• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair

• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed

• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area

• Track and maintain supply inventory

• Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment

• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections

• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor

• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor

• Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies

• Correct at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediately

• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement

Qualification

Education and/ or Experience: High school diploma / GED required. At least 1-year related experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPR/AED/First Aid certification . May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team

Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment

Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
