Accela Rehab & Care Center at Somerton is hiring a Floor Technician to clean and maintain floors across resident rooms, hallways, and common areas at the Somerton facility in Philadelphia. The role requires diligent cleaning, adherence to infection control guidelines, and safe use of cleaning equipment.

Candidates should have prior floor care or custodial experience, with preference for healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Experience in floor care or custodial work; healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Able to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• May require weekend shifts.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle light equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floors in resident rooms, hallways, common areas, and other designated spaces.
• Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors.
• Follow established cleaning protocols and infection control guidelines to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions and facility policies.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Assist with additional custodial duties as assigned by the supervisor.
