Job summary

Baysiderehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Floor Technician to join our faith-based organization in Pensacola, FL. The role focuses on cleaning and maintaining carpeted and hardwood floors, resident rooms, and common areas to ensure a hygienic, comfortable environment for residents.

Responsibilities include routine floor cleaning, scrubbing, waxing, and replenishing supplies, with duties performed in accordance with infection control procedures.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred (healthcare or hospitality setting a plus)
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning tools and procedures is a bonus

• Clean carpeted and hardwood flooring
• Scrub, polish and wax floors of all types
• Deep clean resident rooms, common areas, and hallways to maintain a hygienic environment
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces according to schedules
• Replenish supplies in designated areas
• Dispose of trash and soiled linens per infection control procedures
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department
• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Do

• Responsible for cleaning carpeted and hardwood flooring
• Scrubbing polishing and waxing floors of all types
• Perform routine and deep cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and facility hallways to maintain a hygienic, presentable, and comfortable environment
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces according to cleaning schedules and protocols
• Replenish supplies such as linens, toiletries, and cleaning products in designated areas
• Dispose of trash and soiled linens appropriately and according to infection control procedures
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate department
• Duties as assigned
