Job summary

Cypress Skilled Nursing seeks a floor care technician to maintain floors across clinical and public areas within a healthcare setting. You will perform dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction and bonneting per policy and safety standards.

The role emphasizes reading and following written instructions, professional conduct in a healthcare environment, and completing any required pre-employment processes at the facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) in offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies and public areas.
  • Operate floor cleaning equipment in accordance with policies and safety guidelines.
  • Attend all company-designated training as required by manager.

Job description

Floor care technicians are generally responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells and other public areas such as dining rooms. Perform work duties in accordance with company policies, federal and state laws, local standards and guidelines, OSHA, and other applicable regulations. Attend all company-designated training as required by manager.

Education & Experience
  • The ability to read, write, and speak English is essential.
  • No formal education is required. A high-school diploma is desirable.
