Job summary

Bayside Rehabilitation is seeking a Floor Technician to join our faith-based, resident-focused team. You will clean flooring, scrub and polish surfaces, and maintain hygienic living spaces across the facility.

This on-site role involves routine cleaning, restocking supplies, and promptly reporting hazards. Prior housekeeping or custodial experience is preferred, especially in healthcare or hospitality settings.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred (healthcare or hospitality setting a plus)
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning tools and procedures is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning carpeted and hardwood flooring
• Scrubbing, polishing and waxing floors
• Perform routine and deep cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and facility hallways to maintain a hygienic, presentable, and comfortable environment
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces according to cleaning schedules and protocols
• Replenish supplies such as linens, toiletries, and cleaning products in designated areas
• Dispose of trash and soiled linens appropriately and according to infection control procedures
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate department
• Duties as assigned
