The Waters of Cheatham is seeking a Floor Tech to support our healthcare facility in Ashland City, TN. The role includes cleaning and maintaining hard floors, carpet care, and operating floor machines while following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
You will document daily logs and interact professionally with residents and staff in a quiet, respectful manner. We prefer a high school diploma or GED and prior custodial or healthcare floor care experience.
Up to $15/hr
Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, strip, wax, buff, polish, and deep-clean hard floors (tile, vinyl, concrete).
Carpet Care: Vacuum, shampoo, and perform water extraction on carpets and rugs.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain heavy floor machinery, including buffers, burnishers, auto-scrubbers, and extractors.
Safety & Infection Control: Follow strict facility, OSHA, and CDC guidelines to reduce pathogens, handle chemicals properly, and place warning signs (like "wet floor" cones).
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily logs of floor care activities and report any maintenance or safety hazards to supervisors.
Resident Interaction: Offer polite, positive customer service and maintain a respectful, quiet demeanor around residents and staff.
General Support: Assist with general housekeeping or room setups as needed by the facility.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Experience: Prior custodial or healthcare-specific floor care experience is a plus.
Physical Demands: High physical stamina, ability to stand or walk for long shifts, and capability to bend, stoop, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
Skills: Good understanding of cleaning chemicals, attention to detail, and the ability to follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
