Job summary

Palms at Venice is seeking a dependable Floor Technician to join our Environmental Services team. You will perform routine and deep cleaning of facility floors in accordance with infection control standards to maintain a safe, sanitary environment for residents and staff.

The ideal candidate has prior floor care or environmental services experience, preferably in healthcare, and can lift up to 50 lbs, work independently, and follow schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous floor care or environmental services experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and chemicals preferred
• Ability to work independently and follow schedules
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Must pass background screening and pre-employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Strip, wax, buff, and burnish floors
• Shampoo and extract carpets
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, resident rooms, common areas, and offices
• Operate floor care equipment safely and properly
• Follow infection control, OSHA, and facility safety guidelines
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
• Assist housekeeping staff as needed
• Maintain professionalism and respect when interacting with residents and staff

• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
