GAGE Cannabis - Store Associate (Key Holder) Position

GAGE Cannabis is a vertically integrated cannabis operation with 20 dispensaries and 3 cultivation and manufacturing sites in Michigan, with plans for expansion. Our award-winning retail stores feature many of the industry's leading brands, providing customers with a top-tier experience from the moment they walk into a GAGE dispensary to enjoying our premium cannabis products.

Gage Cannabis, Co (USA) aims to lead in cultivation, processing, and provisioning within the cannabis industry. We uphold the highest standards in social responsibility and ethical business practices. Our team produces high-quality indoor hydroponically grown cannabis in small batches.

Position Overview

This role supports store management in achieving store objectives, increasing revenue, and fostering customer loyalty. The ideal candidate is versatile across store roles, responsible, reliable, and demonstrates strong leadership skills. This position also serves as a key holder, primarily for emergency situations such as during a COVID-19 outbreak, to support store management.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist store manager in achieving daily store objectives
  2. Oversee cash functions, including opening and closing procedures
  3. Make confident and assertive decisions, potentially as the sole lead
  4. Monitor and encourage team members to meet service standards
  5. Resolve customer concerns proactively
  6. Ensure customer satisfaction
  7. Promote a positive work environment and team morale
  8. Train new team members, coaching on KPIs and sales goals
Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years or older and pass a background check
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 0-2 years retail experience; key holder experience preferred
  • Trustworthy with confidential information
  • Minimum two years retail customer service experience
  • Knowledge of cannabis products from regulated retail or medical distribution preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record; travel may be required
  • Comfortable following COVID-19 safety protocols
