Job summary

Sightglass Coffee Roasters Llc in California is seeking a friendly Cashier/Floor Staff to guide guests through the ordering process, pull selections from the case, and accurately ring up orders on our handheld POS while maintaining a welcoming dining room.

You will clear and reset tables, assist guests on all phases of the dining experience, and stay knowledgeable about the menu to suggest pairings. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Job description

OverviewCashier/Floor are responsible for taking guests through each step of the ordering process at the counter. They graciously and knowledgeably guide the guest through our menu and the products in our display cases, highlighting the offerings unique to Sightglass.Cashier/Floor staff will maintain a composed and flexible mind-set, keeping an awareness of bar and kitchen flow, adjusting and supporting other stations as needed. Cashier/Floor Staff runs food and drinks, maintains the dining room by clearing and bussing vacated tables, and attends to guests seated in the dining room. Cashier/Floor Staff is responsible for updating the seating chart as guests choose a table, and ensuring guests have everything they need to enjoy their meal. Cashier/Floor staff will also take any additional orders from guests seated in the dining room using a handheld POS system. As the primary presence on the floor, Floor Staff will assist guests in each phase of the dining experience, quickly communicating and resolving any issues that may arise. Cahier/Floor Staff are responsible for clearing and cleaning vacated tables promptly and properly.
