Purpose:
Maintain various floor surfaces through stripping, refinishing hard floors, and shampooing carpets.

Responsibilities:

• Cleans and sanitizes areas following emergency spill clean-up requests.
• Changes shampooing equipment to extractors.
• Inspects and ensures all assigned areas are cleaned and in good repair; reports issues to the supervisor.
• Shampoos carpeted areas as assigned.
• Maintains all equipment; keeps equipment clean and in good condition; reports problems and suggests improvements to the supervisor.
• Adheres to all hospital and department policies and procedures.
• Follows safety and sanitation regulations; reports issues to the shift supervisor.
• Removes soil, wax, and sealer from hard-surface floors.
• Uses chemicals and solutions according to department guidelines.
