Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian Environmental Services seeks a Floor & Project Technician to perform cleaning, sanitizing, and floor maintenance following hospital policies. The role requires use of housekeeping equipment, adherence to safety standards, and completion of EVS training or equivalent experience.

Contact with medications is prohibited, and the staff must report issues to supervision. HS Diploma/GED or 1 year of related experience is required; position is on-site at UPMC Presbyterian Environmental

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED or 1 year of previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED or completion of EVS training program.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes after emergency spill clean up requests.
• Shampoo assigned carpeted areas.
• Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, reporting all problems to the supervisor.
• Maintain all assigned equipment; keep equipment clean and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.
• Comply with all Hospital/Department policies and procedures.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations, reporting problems to the shift supervisor.
• Remove all soil, wax, and sealer from assigned hard-surface floors.
• Uses chemicals and solutions per department Tech Manual.
