Job summary

UPMC Western MD is seeking a full-time Floor and Project Technician to cover the 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm shift, including rotating weekends and holidays. You will maintain all types of floor areas through stripping/refinishing hard surface floors and shampooing carpeted areas.

Responsibilities include cleaning after spill cleanups, changing Shampoo to Extracts, inspecting areas and reporting problems to the supervisor, shampooing carpets, maintaining equipment, complying with hospital policies,

• Cleans and sanitizes after emergency spill clean up requests.
• Change Shampoo to Extracts.
• Inspect and ensure areas are cleaned and in good repair; report problems to the supervisor.
• Shampoo assigned carpeted areas.
• Maintain equipment; keep it clean and in good repair; report problems and suggestions.
• Comply with Hospital/Department policies and procedures.
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations; report problems to the shift supervisor.
• Remove soil, wax, and sealer from hard-surface floors.
• Uses chemicals and solutions per department Tech Manual.
