Job summary

Albanese Confectionery Group, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Material Handler to support production by handling materials and ensuring inventory integrity. You will operate material handling equipment, verify labeling, and report transactions in the ERP system.

You must read, write and speak fluent English, stand for long shifts, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly with occasional 50 pounds. Forklift experience or certification is a plus, with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to read weight scales and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Performs activities in accordance with company safe work standards
• Operate material handling equipment to manage manufacturing components and materials in support of production operations
• Verifies accuracy, labeling, security, and quality of materials
• Uses company ERP and other software systems to report inventory transactions and other events
• Completes daily paperwork applying good documentation practices
• Safely and effectively makes use of company materials, tools, and equipment for material handling and package security
• Efficiently prioritizes material handling activities in support of operations
• Communicates effectively with supervisor and team members
• Supports and performs inventory activities
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
• Supports warehouse activities
• Comply with all Quality, HAACP, GMP and Food Safety Standards
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use computer systems.
• Must have basic math skills (with use of a calculator)
• Must be able to read and interpret weight scales and tape measures.
• Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds on occasion.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift with applicable breaks.
• Prior fork-lift certification or experience a plus.
• RF Scanner and/or previous ERP system experience is a plus.

EDUCATION

• Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D.
