Job summary

American Peanut Growers Group, LLC is seeking a diligent forklift operator to support production in our Georgia facility. You will manage forklift operations, assist with sanitation, and help ensure material flow and inventory accuracy.

The role requires effective communication, English literacy, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime. Team collaboration and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read and follow daily schedule to ensure on-time completion.

Job description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Attend daily shift huddle meetings with team discussing safety, food safety, quality, and production needs and or misses from previous day.
• Must be able to fill out paperwork accurately and timely.
• Must be able to operate a forklift and pre-cleaning equipment.
• Make adjustments when there is a need and keep the system loaded for downstream processes.
• Must also safely enter racking system to retrieve and put away material.
• Must be able to communicate with maintenance and quality with concern to food safety of machine maintenance.
• Must be able to work overtime as required, ability to adjust hours, shifts as needed.
• Must rotate position between forklift driver and dumper weekly and/or other duties as assigned.
• Must be willing to work on his or her feet for up to 12hr shifts.
• Must be able to initiate action to prevent and/or record the occurrence of non-conformities relating to Food Safety and the quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
• Be able to effectively use technology to perform duties to include, but not limited to scanners, computers, lab testing equipment.
• Be able to notify management of any safety-related or suspicious activities that may affect plant security.
• Be able to inform management of any food safety or quality issues or of any processes which become non-compliant with specified requirements.
• Be able to work closely in a team environment and make decisions as a team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Read and understand the daily schedule, and contribute to the successful completion of the schedule.
• Strive to reduce overtime, yield waste, and strive to improve daily line performance.
