Job summary

Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is seeking a dedicated Floor Nurse (RN/LPN) to provide compassionate, high-quality care to our residents.

Active Wisconsin RN or LPN license and CPR certification are required. You will lead and mentor CNAs, coordinate care with physicians and families, and uphold infection control and safety protocols in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in Wisconsin.
• CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Previous experience in skilled nursing or senior living preferred, but not required.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to stay organized and calm under pressure while leading others.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with resident care plans, physician orders, and community policies.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and intervene as needed to ensure health and safety.
• Support CNAs and other direct care staff to ensure consistent, quality care.
• Communicate changes in resident status to physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in care planning, resident assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
