SCOPE OF POSITION: The Floor Maintenance Operator ensures the protection and preservation of floor surfaces to maintain appropriate appearance and cleanliness.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
The Environmental Services Team at Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is committed to providing residents, clients, visitors, and employees with a safe and clean environment. The Floor Maintenance Operator utilizes proper procedures, equipment, and cleaning chemicals to clean, strip, and wax floors in all areas of the Nursing Home and Assisted Living Community, including common areas, offices, and resident rooms. Other responsibilities may include setting up rooms for meetings/functions, replacing lightbulbs, transporting trash, maintaining supply inventory, assisting with laundry, and moving furniture as needed. The role requires occasionally moving up to 100 pounds with assistive devices and frequently up to 50 pounds.

STATUS/SHIFT: Full Time / Non-Exempt
