Job summary

Noble Drilling is hiring Floor Hands in the Reno, NV area. The Floor Hand operates on the rig floor, assisting the driller, performing basic maintenance, and maintaining a tidy work area. Shifts are 12 hours with a 28-on/14-off schedule, requiring reliability and adherence to safety standards.

Minimum experience is 0–1 year with a high school diploma or GED; travel to rig location is required. Candidates should be able to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate on the rig floor and assist the driller with connections and slips.
• Assist Derrick Hand and Motor Man as needed.
• Keep rig, equipment and location tidy as directed by supervisor.
• Perform basic care and maintenance of rig, tools, equipment and trucks.
• Clean restrooms each shift and maintain organization of tools and bays.
• Organize Conex, XO basket, tools, slips, bowls, welding trailer.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Noble Drilling is hiring Floor Hands in the Reno, NV area!

Noble Drilling is a leading provider in the oil and gas drilling industry, with 17 years of experience delivering safe, reliable, and efficient drilling operations. We are looking for hardworking, dependable individuals to join our team as Floor Hands.

Summary of Responsibilities

As part of drill crew, a 4th or 5th Floor Hand operates machines and maintains equipment used in surface drilling operations. Most of their time is spent on the rig floor assisting the driller in a multitude of functions. Floor Hands normally work 12 hour shifts. Schedules will consist of 28 days on and 14 days off; working both days and nights. Floor Hands are expected to represent his/her self and Noble Drilling in a good manner. Floor Hands should always follow the correct chain of command and report all safety problems or violations immediately.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities (Not listed in relation to their priority)

1. Work on rig floor while tripping (pull slips), make connections
2. Assist Derrick Hand and Motor Man
3. Keep rig, equipment and location tidy as directed by supervisor
4. Basic care and maintenance of rig, tools, equipment and trucks
5. Clean restroom house every shift
6. Organize and maintain: Conex, XO basket, tools, slips, bowls, welding trailer
7. Other duties assigned as needed

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 0-1 years related experience.
• Must successfully complete Noble Drilling’s industry specific training and orientation

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Special Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Valid Driver’s License
• Average Shift: 12 hour work days
• Rotation: 28 days on 14 days off

Travel Requirements

Travel to rig location before tower begins.
