Job summary

United Skates of America in Seaford, NY is hiring a Part-Time Floor Guard. The role requires knowledge of skating and involves enforcing rules, maintaining the skate floor, and ensuring a safe, enjoyable environment for guests.

Flexible evenings, weekends, and some holidays are available. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and training will be provided. Compensation is $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide a clean, fun, friendly, and safe experience to every guest.
• Enforce facility rules diplomatically.
• Monitor and maintain the skate floor and skate counter before and after sessions.
• Supervise customers for safety, protecting skaters from injury.
• Communicate with the session manager, other associates, and DJ about problems or safety issues.
• Handle incident procedures and document causes of incidents for later review.
• Verify that all skating adults have signed Adult Waiver Cards and check Skater IDs for expiration dates.
• Complete all assigned cleanup procedures and assist in other areas as needed.

United Skates of America of Seaford, NY, a roller-skating facility located at 1276 Hicksville Rd is hiring Part-Time Floor Guards.

Responsibilities of a Floor-Guard include:

Provide a Clean, Fun, Friendly, and Safe experience to every guest.

Know the rules of the facility and be able to enforce them diplomatically.

Monitoring and maintaining the skate floor and skate counter before and after sessions.

Supervising customers for safety protecting all skaters from injury (preventing accidents).

Communicate with the session manager, other associates, and DJ concerning any problems or safety issues during a session.

Handle incident procedures and be alert to the (cause of surrounding incidents so you can document them later)

Verify that all skating adults have signed Adult Waiver Cards (referred to as Skater Agreement Cards in NY), and for Skater ID cards, be sure to check for expiration dates.

Complete all assigned clean-up procedures and assist in other areas as needed or requested.
