Job description

Job Title: Floor Equipment Operator

Hourly Rate: $18.20/hr

The Floor Equipment Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of all floor equipment used for floor maintenance. This role includes performing preventive maintenance on equipment according to the technical manual and company SOPs.

Responsibilities:

1. Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevator banks, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas.
2. Operate equipment such as brooms, mops, powered scrubbing machines, floor finishing applicators, and burnishing machines to clean floors.
3. Polish metal fixtures and fittings.
4. Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
5. Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.
6. Replenish bathroom supplies.
7. Work collaboratively with a positive team spirit to produce quality work.
8. Maintain appropriate conduct and demeanor as per Didlake policy.
9. Follow safety standards and guidelines in equipment use and activities.
10. Set an example through dependability, hard work, ethics, and personal appearance.
11. Request supplies and equipment from the supervisor.
12. Train other employees on equipment use, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance (if required).
13. Fill in for janitorial duties as needed.
14. Complete and maintain all required Didlake trainings and documentation.
