Job Title: Floor Equipment Operator

Pay Rate: $20.49/hr

Work Location: Pentagon

Job Description

The Floor Equipment Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of all floor equipment used to maintain floors. The role includes performing preventive maintenance on equipment according to the technical manual and company SOPs.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all floor areas, including carpeted surfaces, in commercial buildings using mechanical equipment.
2. Perform sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing of floors.
3. Apply knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance, including stripping, refinishing, buffing, and burnishing.
4. Operate and maintain floor equipment, reporting issues to the supervisor.
5. Request supplies and equipment as needed.
6. Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevator banks, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas.
7. Polish metal fixtures and fittings.
8. Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
9. Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.
10. Replenish bathroom supplies.
11. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure quality work.
12. Maintain professional conduct and adhere to Didlake policies.
13. Follow safety standards and guidelines during all activities.
14. Set an example through dependability, work ethic, and personal appearance.
15. Assist in training other employees on equipment use, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
16. Fill in for janitorial duties as needed.
17. Complete all required documentation accurately.
