San Bernardino Unified School District is seeking a skilled flooring technician to install, repair and replace carpeting, tile, and other floor coverings across district facilities. You will load materials, measure and cut flooring, and ensure supplies are ready before starting work.
A California driver’s license is required; the position is non-exempt with a regular salary range and benefits. This role requires three years of experience and a high school diploma; you will work under supervision
To perform skilled work involving the installation, repair and replacement of carpeting, tile, and other materials on floors and similar surfaces.
Receives general supervision from the Carpentry and Related Trades Supervisor. May receive work instructions from lead carpenter. Exercises no supervision.
Three years of increasingly responsible experience laying carpeting, resilient floor tile, and linoleum AND High school graduation or the equivalent.
Possession of an appropriate, valid California driver's license at time of appointment to and during employment in a position in this class.
This is a non-exempt position, Regular Classified Salary Range 41. Most positions in this class work 8hours/12months. The probationary period for employees in this classification is six (6) months (or 130 working days of paid service).
