Job summary

Carlson Building Maintenance in Cleveland, OH is hiring a Floor Care Technician to operate floor scrubbers, buffers, extractors and related equipment. You will scrub, buff, strip and wax hard floors and vacuum and shampoo carpets, contributing to a clean, safe, and welcoming retail environment.

No prior floor care experience is required as training is provided; 18+ with reliable transportation can apply. This direct-hire role offers about 32 hours per week, starting at $17.00 per hour, and

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull floor care equipment.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Previous floor care, janitorial, custodial, housekeeping or maintenance experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate floor scrubbers, buffers, extractors, and other floor care equipment.
• Maintain hard floor surfaces through scrubbing, buffing, stripping, and waxing.
• Vacuum, shampoo, bonnet, and extract carpeted areas.
• Perform general cleaning and restroom cleaning as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and company standards.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment.
• Complete assigned cleaning projects independently and efficiently.
