Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a Floor Technician (full time) to maintain and restore hard-surface floors at MHHS Southwest Hospital in Houston, TX. The role uses industrial floor care equipment and requires physical effort with lifting up to 50 lbs.

Training is provided and prior experience is preferred but not required. The position offers full-time hours (Mon-Fri, every other weekend) with a fixed pay rate of $16.00 per hour and comprehensive benefits as part of the Crothall/Compass Group

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or related role preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures (stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, spray buffing).
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Uses automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Cleans carpets and upholstery (shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming).
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
