Job summary

Yona Solutions in Grand Rapids, MN is seeking a Floor Care Technician to maintain hard floor surfaces and carpet cleaning across resident areas. This role requires physical endurance, safe handling of cleaning solutions, and the ability to work independently while following company procedures.

You will operate floor care equipment, perform stripping, refinishing, burnishing, shampooing, and routine maintenance, while providing reliable, courteous service to residents and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night.
• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing, and burnishing.
• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface.
• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use.
• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
