Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with floor care routines and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and work with nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned floor care schedules and ensure they are followed as closely as possible.
• Coordinate daily floor cleaning with nursing and perform routine cleaning tasks.
• Clean up spills, soiled areas, and other conditions as directed.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks on equipment prior to use.
• Clean floors (sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, disinfecting) to maintain high gloss on hard floors.
• Clean vacant rooms and general areas as assigned.
• Discard infectious wastes into appropriate containers.
• Check corners and edges, keep dust-free and baseboards wax-free.
• Turn in found or unclaimed articles to supervisor.
