Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network in Spring, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Floor Technician to perform scheduled floor care tasks under the Housekeeping Supervisor. You may mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, and arrange furniture as needed to maintain clean facilities.

Responsibilities include maintaining all floor surfaces, applying buffs/waxes, carpet extraction, and safe handling of chemicals.

Qualifications

• Experience in floor care is required.
• Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all floor surfaces.
• Buffs and waxes floors; strips and waxes floors; top scrubs and waxes floors.
• Extracts and vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Uses proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and follows safety rules.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Ensures patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
