Job summary

Savannah post acute in Savannah, GA is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our facility floors, including common areas and patient spaces. You will strip, wax, scrub, buff hard floors, shampoo carpets, operate floor care equipment, and coordinate with housekeeping to keep residents, staff, and visitors safe.

A high school diploma is preferred; prior floor care or housekeeping experience helps; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in floor care, janitorial, or housekeeping preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, machines, and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage time efficiently.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, wax, and buff hard surface floors (tile, linoleum, VCT, etc.).
• Operate floor care equipment, including buffers, auto scrubbers, burnishers, and vacuums.
• Shampoo carpets, remove stains, and perform routine carpet maintenance.
• Maintain stairwells, hallways, dining areas, and other assigned common spaces.
