Friendship Village Kalamazoo is seeking a compassionate Floor Tech to join our Environmental Services team. This full-time first shift (7a-3p) role involves cleaning floors, carpets, and common areas across the campus, with a starting pay of $16.00 per hour.

The position supports residential areas, health center, laundry, and community spaces, following department guidelines to maintain a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or laundry is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate team player with initiative and integrity.
• Ability to clean Residents rooms and all areas with minimal disturbance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors and carpets across Community: scrubbing, stripping, waxing, cleaning, vacuuming, mopping.
• Assist with extra assignments and work orders.
• Complete work orders for event set ups and take downs throughout Community.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be doing each day as a Floor Tech:

• Maintains floors and carpets throughout Community, including scrubbing, stripping, waxing, cleaning carpets, vacuuming, mopping and spot treatment/cleaning.
• Assists with extra assignments and work orders.
• Complete work orders for event set ups and take downs throughout Community.
