Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Full Time Floor Tech/Custodial position in Richmond, VA. The role focuses on daily floor care and janitorial services across designated sites, with duties including mopping, scrubbing, buffing, stripping, waxing, and occasional carpet cleaning.

The job requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work evenings/weekends as needed, and pass a criminal background check. Previous experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED not required.
• 1 year of experience helpful but not required.
• Associate will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily dust mopping, cleaning (including wet mop and auto scrub) and buffing of floors.
• Performs periodic stripping and waxing of floors and periodic restoration of restroom floors.
• Performs periodic carpet cleaning by extractor or bonnet shampooing.
• Cleans floor equipment after each use and perform routine maintenance as needed.
• May be required to perform dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, emptying trash and replacing can liner, and glass cleaning.
