Job summary

GDI, Inc. is seeking a dependable floor care technician in Pittsburgh, PA area to perform routine maintenance across facilities. Schedule: Monday - Friday (5pm - 1am) with weekends when necessary.

You will strip, seal, wax, and polish floors; clean restrooms and common areas; sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and remove trash; and travel to sites as needed while operating buffers, scrubbers, and other floor-cleaning equipment. Safety procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year floor-care experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to drive to multiple job sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability for labor and hot conditions.
• Steel-toed shoes required when applicable.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors as needed.
• Clean commercial buildings, including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove trash.
• Travel to various GDI locations to complete floor care and specialty cleaning projects.
• Operate floor-cleaning equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, carpet machines, pressure washers, and wet/dry vacuums.
• Follow safety procedures and properly place safety barricades in work areas.
