Job summary

GDI, Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a floor care technician to join our team.

You will strip, seal, wax, and polish floors, and keep commercial buildings clean. The schedule is Monday-Friday 5pm-1am with weekends as needed.

A valid driver's license, ability to drive company vehicle, and ability to work independently are valued; 401(k) and health, dental, and vision insurance and PTO are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of floor-care experience preferred.
• Commercial cleaning or flooring experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle to various job sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation.
• Steel-toed shoes required when applicable.
• Ability to work in hot conditions and perform physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors as needed.
• Clean commercial buildings, including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove trash.
• Travel to various GDI locations to complete floor care and specialty cleaning projects.
• Operate floor-cleaning equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, carpet machines, pressure washers, and wet/dry vacuums.
• Follow safety procedures and properly place safety barricades in work areas.
