Job summary

Goodwill Cincinnati is hiring a Janitorial Floor Technician to join our Woodlawn team. The role involves performing janitorial floor work and cleaning tasks on a day‑to‑day basis under supervision at the Cincinnati facility.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2–5 years in janitorial services with floor machinery experience, knowledge of chemicals and safety procedures, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Experience: 2-5 years of janitorial services, including stripping, waxing, scrubbing, buffing, carpet cleaning, and operating commercial janitorial floor machinery.
• Must pass clearance background checks.
• Must be able to work independently after being given a directive and be a self-starter.
• Knowledge of chemical and emergency procedures; ability to identify and maintain various floors.

Responsibilities

• Operating floor machines and performing floor stripping, waxing, scrubbing, and buffing.
• Carpet cleaning and other janitorial functions as needed.
• Following safety guidelines and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Wearing safety equipment as required.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
