Job summary

Yona is seeking a Floor Care Technician to keep our facilities clean and well-maintained. The role focuses on hard-surface floor maintenance, carpet care, and operating floor care equipment to support a healthy environment for residents and staff.

The candidate should have prior floor care experience, strong knowledge of equipment, and a commitment to safety. This is an on-site position with opportunities for growth and benefits through Yona's program.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a floor care technician or related role is preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques is required.
• Must follow safety procedures due to physical risks.
• Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing
• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use
• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor
