Job summary

CW RESOURCES, INC. is seeking a Floor Care Technician with 1–2 years of custodial or janitorial experience to keep our spaces spotless at the US Coast Guard Academy facilities in New London, CT.

You’ll handle a variety of floor surfaces and operate buffers, auto-scrubbers, burnishers, carpet extractors, and vacuums. This role requires adherence to OSHA safety guidelines and PPE, the ability to work alone or with a team, and reliable communication with supervisors about equipment issues and

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of commercial floorcare or janitorial experience.
• Experience using buffers, auto-scrubbers, burnishers, carpet extractors.
• Knowledge of floor types and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Clean and care for tile, vinyl, carpet, and concrete floors.
• Operate floor care machines to complete daily tasks.
• Perform stripping, waxing, and deep-cleaning as scheduled.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Maintain equipment and report issues to supervisor.
• Work alone or with a team on projects.
