Job summary

BayCare Health System in Lakeland seeks a Part-Time Floor Care Technician for BayCare ER Lakeland. This role performs detailed floor care and cleaning in patient and non-patient areas, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and infection prevention protocols.

Responsibilities include responding to spills, moving and setting up furniture for patient care areas and events, maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies, and supporting cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Operate and maintain floor, carpet and upholstery cleaning equipment.
• 6 months of Floor Care experience required.

• Facility: BayCare ER (Lakeland)
• Location: Lakeland, FL
• Shift: 11:00 pm - 7:30AM
• Schedule: Part Time- every other weekend
• On Call: No

As a Foor Care Technician

Maintain a Clean & Safe Environment

• Perform detailed floor care and specialized cleaning in patient and non-patient areas.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with hospital standards, safety guidelines, and infection prevention protocols.

Support Daily Operations

• Respond promptly to spills and environmental service needs.
• Move and set up furniture for patient care areas, meetings, and special events.

Care for Equipment & Supplies

• Maintain cleaning equipment, furniture, and supplies to ensure operational readiness.
• Help support cost-effective operations through proper use and care of resources.

Make a Difference Every Day

• Contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and team members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Required specific skills include, Operate and maintain floor, carpet and upholstery cleaning equipment.
• 6 months of Floor Care experience required
