Job summary

Yona Solutions in Minnesota is seeking a Floor Care Technician to join our team and maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments for residents and staff.

The role focuses on hard-surface floor maintenance and carpet care, using professional equipment. You will follow safety procedures, lift up to 50 lbs, and work potentially varied shifts while ensuring high-quality cleaning standards across our facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a floor care technician or related role.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety procedures due to physical risks.
• Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work at varying times of day/night.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures for stripping, refinishing and burnishing.
• Operates equipment to clean large floor areas.
• Performs carpet care including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning and vacuuming.
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned.
• Performs maintenance/restorative processes for all floor types and disinfects equipment after use.
• Mixes and uses cleaning solutions safely and adheres to safety precautions.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing
• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface typesDisinfects floor care equipment after each use
• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night
• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance
• Must provide a criminal background check
