The University of Alabama at Birmingham is hiring for a position focusing on floor care and maintenance duties. Candidates should be skilled in handling various surfaces such as carpet, tile, and wood, with experience operating commercial cleaning equipment.

The primary accountabilities below are intended to describe the general content and requirements of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties.
Performs floor care, maintenance and finishing duties. Cares for a variety of surfaces including carpet, tile, stone, vinyl and wood. Uses professional cleaning products, equipment and techniques. Interacts with customers, visitors, students, coworkers and others in a friendly, helpful and professional manner. Uses assigned communication device.
$15.00 - $18.00 (Commensurate with experience & qualifications)
Sunday - Thursday, 9:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. (subject to change to meet the needs of the University).
High School diploma or equivalent preferred and six (6) months of experience in a commercial, institutional, or education setting, including experience operating floor care equipment (burnishers, strippers) required.
Some positions require that driving record should meet University underwriting guidelines to drive vehicle in performance of University business. Current underwriting guidelines include possession of a valid driver’s license, issued in the United States; at least 21 years of age; at least three years of driving experience; maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
