Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Floor Care Technician in Peoria, IL to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, visitors and staff. The role requires timely cleaning across diverse areas including common spaces, patient rooms, hallways, surgical and specialty environments to meet facility needs.

EVS support may be needed beyond basic cleaning. The position is hourly, with pay between $17.66 and $19.63 per hour; internal equity and experience determine actual compensation.

Qualifications

• 6 months’ environmental services or floor care experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1 year experience working in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and hygienic environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Ensure timely cleaning in common areas, patient rooms, hallways and surgical/procedural environments.

Expected pay for this position is $17.66 - $19.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Floor Care Technician, in accordance with standards of quality, is responsible for providing a safe and hygienic environment for the benefit of patients, visitors, and staff. This role is responsible for ensuring timely cleans in various areas including common areas, patient rooms, hallways/corridors, surgical, procedural and specialty environments in order to meet facility needs. The Floor Care Technician performs additional functions as needed to provide EVS support.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

• 6 months’ environmental services or floor care experience
