Job summary

JGS Leavitt Family Jewish Home in Massachusetts is seeking a Floor Care Technician to perform routine floor care, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and operate floor-care equipment in a long-term care setting.

The part-time role offers 22 hours per week with rotating shifts (6:00 AM–2:00 PM and 9:00 AM–5:00 PM) and weekends/holidays rotation. Compensation ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in housekeeping/laundry in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, stripping, and waxing floors throughout the long-term care facility.
• Clean and disinfect floors and high-traffic areas according to infection-control and facility safety standards.
• Operate and maintain floor-care equipment and promptly report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
• Coordinate cleaning activities around residents, staff, meals, and scheduled activities to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
