Job summary

UG2 is seeking a Floor Crew and Utility Lead to direct daily custodial and floor-care activities. This hands-on leadership role trains staff, coordinates tasks, and ensures safe, high-quality service across facilities.

You will manage floor machines, perform routine custodial duties, and support supervisors in delivering consistent results. Applicants should have at least two years of custodial experience, familiarity with floor-care equipment, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least two years of commercial, institutional, or similar custodial experience.
• Experience operating floor machines (scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, extractors, pressure washers).
• Prior lead, trainer, or crew-coordination experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety data sheets, PPE, and safe handling practices.
• Ability to follow instructions, organize priorities, and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and support floor crew and utility staff; assign daily tasks.
• Perform and oversee floor-care services: scrubbing, stripping, waxing, burnishing, extraction.
• Provide utility services such as pressure washing, trash/recycling support, spills response.
• Inspect completed work and communicate safety and maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Respond to work requests and support special projects, move-ins/outs.
• Provide custodial coverage: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, restocking supplies.
