Job summary

UG2 in Oceanside, CA is seeking a Floor Crew and Utility Lead to manage daily custodial tasks and lead floor-care operations. You will supervise the crew, perform hands-on cleaning, and ensure safety and quality in all facilities.

You will coordinate assignments, inspect work, train staff, and respond to urgent cleaning needs while maintaining equipment and supplies, always prioritizing client satisfaction and reliable service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least two years of custodial experience.
• Experience operating floor machines (scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, extractors, pressure washers).
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and support floor crew and utility staff; assign daily tasks and ensure on-time completion.
• Perform and oversee floor-care services (scrubbing, stripping, waxing, burnishing, extraction).
• Provide utility services (pressure washing, trash/recycling, spill response).
• Inspect completed work and communicate safety or maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Respond to work requests and support special projects and events.
• Provide hands-on custodial coverage (sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning, replenishing supplies).
• Maintain plumbing fixtures and floor-care equipment; report issues promptly.
• Follow procedures for chemical use, labeling, storage, and waste handling.
• Read schedules and floor plans; clearly communicate changes to crew.
• Maintain professional, customer-service presence with clients and partners.
• Promote attendance, safety, teamwork, and accountability.
